About the President
A+ Nannies, Inc. is owned by President, Hilary Lockhart. Mrs. Lockhart got into the child care industry at a young age of 10; babysitting for neighborhood children. By age 12, Hilary had already started up a Babysitter's Club; finding other young teens various babysitting jobs. At age 16, she had her first nanny position; watching a 1 week old, 6 days a week. Hilary started teaching downhill ski lessons on weekends through the winter to children as young as 2; all while still being a nanny 5 days per week. She volunteered her senior year of high school at a daycare, and at a facility for handicapped children and adults. When Hilary graduated high school, she continued to nanny through college until opening A+ Nannies, Inc. You can call this her knack, her gift, her passion, or all of the above; she LOVES children.
Nikki grew up in England with frequent visits to Europe and South Africa as a child. She studied Business and Finance before finally immigrating to Cape Town to be close to family. After living there for 2 years, she traveled a little more before moving to Miami Beach where she worked for a year as a nanny. Still with that travel bug, she moved to New York which she fell in love with and stayed for 8 years. She worked in the fashion & modeling industry, and restaurant business before finally settling into office management for an international visa company. Nikki met and married her husband in NY and after a few years together, they decided to move to Scottsdale, Arizona to start a family of their own. She worked with A+ Nannies for a year and a half before leaving to stay home with their first born. They are now the proud parents of a happy 15 month old little girl. Although she misses her daughter, Nikki finds her job very rewarding and loves what she does, and is now back at A+ Nannies, Inc!
Michelle Nesson was raised in New York and received a Bachelor's Degree from University at Buffalo. She moved to Denver, Colorado soon after and lived there for 10 years before relocating to Arizona. Michelle has spent a lot of time around children ever since she was old enough to babysit. Children have always meant a lot to Michelle, and she anxiously awaits the day she will have kids of her own to run and play with. Michelle feels that being a positive influence in the life of a child is one of the most important and rewarding experiences any person can have. Helping parents find a nanny that can become part of the family is a job Michelle can be proud of.
Lindsay Turner was born and raised in Nebraska. Lindsay always had that "connection" with kids. She first noticed it while becoming the “neighborhood babysitterâ€. She made the decision as a young teenager to commit her life to children and to become a teacher. While pursuing an Elementary Education degree at the University of Nebraska, she worked at a before & after school program, until becoming a nanny 2 years later. After three beautiful years with this family, Lindsay graduated college and received a job opportunity of her dreams. Lindsay accepted work at Ashland Park Robbins Elementary, where she taught 2nd grade for three fulfilling years.
In August of 2005, the Turners welcomed their first baby (of many to come!), daughter Kamerin. Lindsay has dealt hands on with all the childhood milestones – from potty training and sleep issues, to sibling rivalry and separation anxiety. She has managed all aspects of children while never seeming to get enough of them! Her real-life experience with children and her people skills make her an asset to the A+ Nannies’ team.
